Multiplayer networking is one of the most important systems in AltspaceVR, and everything we build requires on a solid and scalable networking base. As the dedicated multiplayer engineer on a small client engineering team, you'll working on improving reliability, raise our concurrency limits, and add new multiuser-related features to VOIP, avatar, props, and UGC systems. You'll be working primarily in the Unity3d-based client code and modifying the Photon-based backend as needed. • 5+ years' experience in 3D Realtime Software Engineering (games or equivalent) • 2+ years' experience as multiplayer/networking client engineer • Shipped at least 1 multiplayer experience • Strong C# or C++ coding background, debugging ability across technology stacks • Experience working with the latest game engine tools and techniques • Strong problem solving and debugging skills • Strong cross-discipline collaboration and communication skills A bility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
