The Cloud Server Infrastructure (CSI) team in Microsoft's Azure C+E division is responsible for delivering server infrastructure for Microsoft's online services. The hardware for operating these services (over 200 and counting), comprises of hundreds of thousands of servers spread globally and applications that reach hundreds of millions of users every day. Our customer-base is growing rapidly, our infrastructure investments are multiplying and the size of our global infrastructure is increasing by the day - along with the scale of our challenges. Primary responsibilities include: Work with internal Azure service stakeholders and external suppliers on integration of memory technologies DRAM/DIMMS into Azure hardware infrastructure Develop new techniques to improve performance and reliability of memories Design new test programs for validation of DRAM, and SCM memory used in servers Interact with multiple cross functional teams and external technology partners on findings and results of memory development and drive resolution
Qualifications: S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent expereince 2+ years of Memory, DRAM development or evaluation In-depth understanding of DRAM and SCM technologies and design trade-offs for specific applications. Technological understanding of DDR4/5, Wide I/O, HBM, PCM, 3DXP, ReRAM, FRAM, NV-DIMM, and DRAM manufacturing.
