Amazon Softlines is seeking a talented, driven and customer-obsessed leader to join the Shoes team as a Senior Manager of Vendor Management, with responsibility for the largest and most recognizable brands in the Athletic Shoes market segment. The Senior Manager will lead a team of high performing Vendor Managers and be responsible for driving top and bottom line performance of the Athletic Shoes business, building vendor relationships, expanding selection, negotiating vendor terms, planning marketing promotions, and driving better product availability through operational improvements. The Senior Manager will also define and implement strategic programs and initiatives to fuel long-term growth for the Shoes business. This is a pivotal role that will blend day-to-day P and L management with longer term strategic thinking and execution. · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field · 8+ years’ professional experience in vendor/partner management, product/program management, supply chain management or finance · Experience leading teams and recruiting, hiring and developing talent · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Proven track record of collaborating successfully with internal and external partners · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguous problems · Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention
