We are looking for a strongly technical, customer-focused Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management who has the visionary thinking to drive engineering, science, and processes required for making and keeping us the world leading speech team. Speech recognition is at the core of Alexa and every single team in Alexa depend on us. This requires the development of robust processes and development of technical solutions for driving the coordination across the whole Alexa org. Speech recognition has to be accurate. You develop the strategies for understanding where accuracy gaps exist today and how we are addressing them short- and long-term. You are coordinating speech recognition consumers and speech recognition engineering and science teams. You drive the long-term 3yr plans,
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline · 10+ years of work experience in technical program management, including experience in release schedules and coordinating cross functional teams in software engineering · 5+ years’ experience of managing technical program management, engineering, and/or science teams · 5+ years’ experience in system software design and development · PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Mathematics with specialization in speech recognition, natural language processing, or machine learning. · 3+ years’ experience
