Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Product Compliance Engineering Manager who will be responsible for providing global product compliance leadership. In this critical role, you will manage a team working closely with AWS engineering and design teams developing customized hardware for use in AWS data centers and customer locations, as well as retail hardware products. You and your team will support the design teams throughout the product life cycle, specifying regulatory and safety requirements, providing design feedback, completing pre-testing of the hardware platforms developed by the design teams, and working with suppliers and third party certification agencies, ultimately ensuring that AWS obtains the required regulatory compliance and safety certifications for the devices. This role will encompass a broad range of regulatory compliance subjects, including: electrical and mechanical safety, energy efficiency, and wireless and EMC, as well as environmental and materials
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical Engineering (or similar technical discipline). · 10+ years of EMI/ESD hands on compliance testing, data interpretation and debug experience. · 8+ years of experience in submissions for official certification through relevant compliance bodies such as FCC, CE, CSA or UL across multiple shipping products. · 3+ years of experience working with Asia-based manufacturing partners. · Proven track-record of role modeling a collaborative teamwork environment. · Ability to move quickly and work in an ambiguous environment. · Advanced degree in industrial equipment safety
