Alexa is the personal voice-first assistant AI present in over 100 million Alexa devices. She is always getting smarter and attaining new capabilities to become more helpful. Her ever expanding abilities offer an opportunity to help her customers discover the new interesting ways for her to add value to their lives. In this role you will lead a multi-disciplinary design team across multiple design programs. You will act as the head of design, manage the careers and give creative guidance to an elite group of user researchers, voice (VUI) and multi-modal designers. This role combines programs that span horizontally across Alexa and programs that focus on features vertically. You will lead the design initiatives that drive increasingly better awareness and engagement with Alexa’s features from the first time user experience and beyond. You will work with our News product and engineering teams to uncover delightful and convenient ways for Alexa to surface the most relevant and important news
· 10+ years of relevant professional experience driving creative strategy and execution for digital products. · 5+ years of experience working on consumer facing, digital products across a variety of mediums. · 5+ years of experience leading creative, multi-disciplinary teams. · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. · An internet-accessible portfolio of work (may be provided as part of your resume). · A background in product design, UX design, voice design, conversational design, and/or user research. Voice design experience highly preferred but not required. · Demonstrated ability to influence product
