Amazon is looking for a Senior Hardware Engineering Manager to join an exciting new product team working to build a completely new best-in-class consumer product. Your responsibilities will include: · Leading a team of junior and senior electrical and mechanical engineers to develop world class products. · Dive into and take ownership for critical electrical and mechanical design, DFM and DFT issues. · Define and implement processes to ensure a world class product. · Lead Technology Vision – Work with product and various technology teams to align technology development with product roadmaps · Work closely with the desing, product, hardware operations and software development teams
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent · 10+ years experience developing new hardware products covering electrical and mechanical domains · 7+ years of engineering management experience · 2+ years of experience in taking complex products from concept to mass production · Master’s degree in Engineering preferred · Exposure to mechanical, electrical and firmware design and development practices including common engineering tools used for such efforts with detailed knowledge and expertise in at least one of the areas. · Consumer product development experience
