Would you like to work with customer engineers to understand their needs, identify emerging patterns, and develop new capabilities—in collaboration with Microsoft product teams, partners and open source communities—to empower customers to do more with the cloud and devices ? If so, then we have the job for you in the Microsoft Commercial Software Engineering (CSE) team. The CSE team codes with customer/partner engineering teams on their hardest challenges to unblock and accelerate progress. In the process, we capture learnings and develop reusable code frameworks, product feedback and guidance to improve the value of our platform. We are looking for a n exceptional Human Experience Design Lead to build and run the CSE Foundations HX team. You should have deep experience and expertise in universal design, human -centered design, and modern software engineering practices. You will be building the team that creates a design thinking culture

Facilitate envisioning and design session s with potential customers and partners to understand their priorities, define compelling project scenarios and ensure successful outcomes for both the partner and Microsoft. Identifying technical industry use cases and patterns (Foundation Scenarios) that have potential for CSE to impact industry adoption by producing reusable software assets. Partnering with Foundations Program Manager Architects to inform selection and prioritization of scenarios based on HX criteria like usability, desirability and usefulness. Identifying and mediating experience blockers
7+ years of experience as a User Experience practitioner Demonstrated experience in product development, business development, creative consulting, and/or a project management capacity Demonstrated leadership skills and expertise guiding teams and supporting the learning and development of individuals A proactive, creative problem solver that thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment Experience managing a design team within a software development company Background in software engineering, has previously written code either as part of their prior career, during education or as a
