Microsoft HoloLens Team is continuing to revolutionize consumer electronic devices. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented engineer to develop breakthrough technology. The Hardware Engineer will work concurrently with Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Test Engineering in creating innovative systems incorporating devices with functionality across multiple domains, including mechanical, electrical, thermal, and chemical.
Responsibilities center around designing advanced multiphysical transduction devices for an aggressive product roadmap. The Hardware/Devices Engineer will have working knowledge of engineering materials, expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other multiphysics simulation tools, expertise in modeling transducer dynamics and designing control systems, proficiency in CAD and layout software, and hands-on experience in the experimental characterization of multi-domain transducers. The position will require strong communication skills including written documentataion and verbal personation
Required Minimum 10 years industry experience developing and manufacturing transducer devices Experience using lab and data acquisition software Experience using statistical and analysis software MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics Applicant must be able to travel to design and manufacturing locations throughout the world to include Asia and Europe Preferred Expertise performing multi-physical mathematical analysis and simulations Expertise with Finite Element software, such as ANSYS Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – cross-group and cross-culture
