The "Microsoft Universal Store Team" (UST) is the main commercial engine of Microsoft with the mission to bring One Universal Store for all commerce at Microsoft. UST encompasses everything Microsoft sells and everything others sell through the company, consumer and commercial, digital and physical, subscription and transaction, via all channels and storefronts. Microsoft UST Operations Finance (OpsFinance) is responsible for planning, organizing, auditing, accounting for and controlling UST's finances. Microsoft UST Operations Finance (OpsFinance) is seeking a Senior Manager in Finance with deep understanding, knowledge and experience with ASC 606. A key responsibility for this role will be performing contracts and amendments reviews for various business organizations to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.

The revenue recognition team is responsible for all revenue-related matters including contract reviews, new initiatives and business model changes that may have revenue impact, and statutory accuracy of revenue. Key areas are: Contract Reviews and Technical Consultations Review contractual arrangements in accordance with US and local GAAP to identify language that may require non-standard accounting treatment. Basic Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field 6+ years of relevant work experience with progression in audit, finance, accounting/revenue recognition Revenue Recognition Contract Review experience Experience with ASC 605 and/or 606 Excellent and demonstrated communication skills and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications: CPA preferred Master's degree (in Finance, Accounting or conomics) a plus Demonstrated ability to think creatively and effectively in an ambiguous and changing environment Detail oriented and thorough, with ability
