Amazon seeks an experienced Sr. Finance Manager to lead the Finance function for our Worldwide Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) and Print on Demand (POD) businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most transformative businesses at Amazon. In addition to end-to-end ownership of all KDP and POD finance processes, the role provides analytical support in areas like author acquisition, royalty models, authors’ customer service, helping authors earn more, fraud detection, public library lending, operations, and several other new initiatives in the product planning phase. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance, as well as overall finance, operational and decision support in this exciting and evolving space. This individual will be role model for high standards, problem solving, operational discipline, driving business insight/innovation, partnering with cross functional teams, and developing scalable processes. · BA/BS degree in business, finance, or a related field · 10+ years finance leadership with progressively increasing levels of responsibility · 3+ years’ experience managing people· Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to get into the details while also seeing and understanding the big picture · Advanced Excel skills · Strong communication, including both written and oral · Strong leadership and people management skills · Superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously · MBA
