Universal Store is Microsoft's Online Commerce platform. It supports billing, payment collection, developer payouts and fulfillment through all of Microsoft's online marketplaces (Azure, Office, Xbox, Microsoft.com, etc.). With the world of business transforming, moving to cloud, this sales channel is seeing tremendous growth and going through significant changes. We are looking for a Senior Manager in Revenue Reporting and Recognition, with the responsibility to drive the quarterly rev rec close process, continuously improve on the current reporting procedures, and perform reviews and record appropriate adjustments for Azure offerings. This role will partner closely with various Finance, Operations and Engineering teams to understand offers, access data and perform analysis.
Core responsibilities include: • Revenue Recognition: Review various contracts and amendments for customers to determine the revenue recognition impact and treatment based on the deep understanding of both products and services offered, and accounting policies. • Business Partnership: Develop trusted business partnerships with various functions including but not limited to Azure Engineering and Operations, Regional Operations Centers, Business Desk, Corporate Accounting and Engineering Group Finance and various other organizations through deep understanding of their business and proactive financial
Basic Qualifications: BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field 6+ years of relevant work experience Experience with Revenue Accounting / Revenue Recognition / Contract Reviews Preferred Qualifications: CPA is a plus Experience with online commerce
