ESC, the Events, Studios and Community team, is looking for a passionate storyteller. We are looking for someone who can bring our company's message to life for customers, employees, and the world through events like Inspire and Ready. You will work closely with other marketing disciplines, especially PR, Marcom, Brand and Field teams, to maximize impact from the event Passion for events, storytelling, and Microsoft's mission An entrepreneurial spirit that is passionate about evolving and innovating beyond the status quo -Deep understanding of customers, positioning and messaging frameworks and audience targeting -Experience in event storytelling and marketing, particularly large, cross-company events -Strong verbal and written communication skills In this role, you take the lead in shaping our event narratives, looking across the entire Microsoft portfolio to plan, design and build a compelling, integrated story. You will be responsible for driving the story development process in partnership
Key Responsibilities include: -Drive the development of an integrated, cross-company narrative for events -Drive differentiated value proposition, messaging and positioning for Microsoft through events -Lead cross-company, multi-discipline teams as necessary to support event planning and execution -Partner with Field, Discipline, Product and Engineering leaders on developing, refining narrative -Orchestrate the development of storytelling assets for events with Field and Product Marketing -Work closely with Marcom and PR to extend narrative beyond the event to maximize impact
Requirements: -Passion for events, storytelling, and Microsoft's mission -12+ years of marketing experience, ideally in various groups (e.g. Office, Xbox, WDG, Education). -A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide-array of groups and stake holders -An entrepreneurial spirit that is passionate about evolving and innovating beyond the status quo -Deep understanding of customers, positioning and messaging frameworks and audience targeting -Experience in event storytelling and marketing, particularly large, cross-company events -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Familiarity
