(HCX) design team Senior Design Technologist
We are looking for a Senior Design Technologist to join the Hardlines Customer Experience (HCX) design team, whose mission is to invent and accelerate the creation of big, bold retail customer experiences. You will work across all 7 HCX teams. Your goal is to make the UX design team as self-sufficient as possible, enabling them to develop as much as they can to production quality, before the engineering team gets involved. Recognizing that there's often more to learn from failure than success, you'll experiment constantly. You'll double down when your experiments resonate with customers and deliver products that drive hundreds of millions in revenue. You will run ahead of the engineering team, building working front-end prototypes fast and helping the team secure funding for new initiatives by demonstrating our vision. As Sr. Design Technologist, you will work with product management, research, and design to help define and prototype front-end customer experiences and new technical approaches
· BS in Computer Science or related technical field or 5 years of relevant work experience · Experience in a creative technologist, front-end developer and/or hardware prototyper role · Demonstrated ability to learn, evaluate, and adopt new technologies quickly· Strong verbal and written communication skills · Experience collaborating with multiple development teams to accomplish large goals · Experience working directly with UX design teams · Experience building rapid prototypes ·
