Do you want to join a new User Research Team and help drive the digital transformation of Microsoft? Core Services Engineering (CSE) builds the critical products and services that Microsoft runs on including those used by our employees to enable productivity, creativity, collaboration and career growth . The Senior User Researcher will join a team of researchers who focus deeply on uncovering unmet, unarticulated needs to inform reimagine how our employees work and engage with Microsoft. In this role, you will inform the vision for Seamless Teamwork and Collaboration at Microsoft; becoming a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by delivering actionable insights that help define the modern workplace at Microsoft. This research will also contribute to initiatives such as the new, Smart Campus. In the CSEO Studio, Design and Research work side by side to understand, envision and evaluate experiences for our employees. Using creative and agile methods your work will contribute

Key responsibilities: Design and conduct primary research to understand customer needs, pain points, and unmet needs, and evaluate user experience concepts, prototypes, and experiences to influence your program area. Bring insights to life to inspire our Design and Engineering organizations to focus on the right problems to solve Employ both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and be able to make smart choices on best research technique to use based on business goals and timelines Drive multiple projects simultaneously, bring creativity to your research approach, and be agile/scrappy
Knowledge, experience and skills: Min of 5-7 years working in a UX research role on a product team Experience performing research in Design Sprints, Agile Development models and running large projects/programs which span multiple months Well established portfolio of research techniques from ethnography, field studies, interviews, usability studies, concept validation, A/B testing, user journey mapping, surveys, scorecards and competitive analysis. Experience summarizing data, performing statistical analysis on structured data sets, and analyzing/looking for patterns in unstructured data. Ability
