Examples include: · Our onboarding videos and content suggestions are personalized for each customer. · We suggest a set of videos, books, and apps for our users that are tailored for their specific interests as they use the tablet. · Our Kindle special offers and marketing campaigns are personalized. The Fire tablet team is looking for talented data scientists to work on the state of the art machine learning algorithms that empower our products to make the best set of suggestions. As a data scientist, you will be working closely with our software, product and applied science team to develop data pipelines for our algorithms, analyze the performance of our ML models, and improve the performance of the models that are part of our tablets’ core software.
· Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,Operations Research, Mathematics or other related fields with focus on machine learning algorithms · 5+ years of practical experience applying ML to solve complex problems · Experience using Java, C++, or other programming language, as well as with Python or similar scripting language · Experience using Sql and creating data pipelines for ML models· Proven track record of delivering large-scale machine learning, speech, language understanding, search and/or personalization applications, or leading successful research projects
