We are the office of the CTO for Microsoft. Whether it is providing insights to the SLT, giving meaning to an "AI First" company, or helping to figure out the true meaning and impact of "Edge Computing", the Office of the CTO is down in the trenches, working with our engineering teams across the company. We gather information, synthesize recommendations, drive cross-company workstreams and cross-industry partnerships and otherwise engage in activities that inform the CTO and move the needle on Microsoft's strategic and technical direction. The CTO also spends a significant part of his time building strong strategic relationships with other leaders in the tech industry and beyond - determining opportunities where we can work together more for the good of the industry and broader community.

Behind every great communication - speech, press interview, email, blog, or video - is somebody who thinks strategically about how best to create content and make the speaker come alive. As a Senior Communications Manager for the office of the CTO, you will help establish the external voice of this executive and his team. The person in this role will assist with the development and execution against a comprehensive communications plan that encompasses relevant message platforms, storytelling, event execution, speaker image and external communications. Skills and Qualifications Listening and collaboration - Gather requirements and work together with event or initiative owners Social Media - Depth in Social Media including experience designing and executing social media campaigns and measuring the success and impact of these campaigns Written communication - Write scripted speeches, blogs, emails and more Messaging and positioning skills - Build messaging frameworks from scratch Mastery of communications mix - Strong preference for previous PR and/or Executive Communications experience; candidate must be able to manage a complex communications
