Amazon seeks a results-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to identify strategic initiatives that will inform the direction of the Amazon FreeTime product. Amazon FreeTime allows parents to create a personalized experience for children on the Amazon Fire tablet, giving complete control over what content each child can access. Parents can also opt into the FreeTime Unlimited subscription for kids that offers access to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games—all while blocking social media access and in-app purchasing so that parents don’t have unwelcome surprises. Amazon FreeTime also includes best-in-class parental controls, allowing parents to set daily time limits or restrict certain categories—like games and video—while leaving unlimited time for reading. Successful candidates will be comfortable creating and optimizing table structures, identifying KPIs that drive the business, generating reports for those KPIs that are consumed across the

· 3+ years in Business Intelligence or Analysis. · Strong SQL skills, including table creation and query tuning. · Strong business writing skills. · Experience designing and evaluating experiments · Experience visualizing data and creating self-service tools for business users · Experience with Amazon Redshift · Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python) · Experience with a statistical package (e.g. R, Stata, or numpy) to build both predictive and inferential models. · Experience with EMR and other "big data" tools (e.g. Hive, Spark)
