The Operations Finance team is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to support our global logistics cost and and economic modeling. The Finance Controllership team is responsible for finance support related to all payment and accounting activities in the transportation space. We partner closely with transportation business units and tech teams as they work to continually refine and scale the business to keep pace with Amazon's rapid growth. Along with our partners in Accounting, we are responsible for closing the books on NA Transportation shipments. This specific role requires an analyst who has the ability to develop insights for use in activity based costing, econometrics, and statistics. This role will work in a dynamic environment working with
· BA/BS degree in Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Economics and/or similar discipline with analytical bias · · Mastery of relational database management · · 6+ years of relevant experience in positions that require analysis, including internships · · Prior experience working across teams and large organizations · · Strong communication skills · · Experience performing financial and ad-hoc analysis using Excel · · Strong Excel skills (pivots, index match, look-ups, etc.) · · Ability to travel; up to 10% travel expected· Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity
