The AWS Finance Central Economics team is looking for a BI Engineer to build data pipelines and be an integral part of our research team. The successful candidate will build analytics on very large data sets in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. The candidate will also be able to stretch their skills in Machine Learning and Data Lake Technologies. Our data warehouse is built on AWS cloud technology like EC2, S3, and Redshift. Our current reporting architecture leverages Tableau, Microstrategy, AWS QuickSight, Salesforce and internal custom email based flash reporting tools and systems. The role requires strong understanding of large datasets and Finance, solid interpersonal and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, an entrepreneurial ability to work with minimal direction, and rapid prototyping. · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field · 5+ years of industry experience with BI Development – reports, metadata layer, dashboards, using SQL queries or other BI tools. · 3+ years proficiency with TABLEAU, Microsoft Excel to include making charts, data manipulation, pivot tables, creating macros, and visual basic knowledge · Able to write SQL scripts for analysis and reporting (SQL, MySQL) · Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (Millions to Billions of rows) of data · Advance/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information
