We are hiring Scientists/Engineers with outstanding machine learning (ML) and speech recognition (SR) technology development skills to advance Microsoft's core speech technology. As one of Microsoft's most exciting artificial intelligence and perception initiatives, SR is driving the accuracy and robustness of natural user interfaces with the science and technology that enable the user experiences and power our cloud services and clients/devices. The Speech Group develops SR platforms and experience for enterprise and consumer products running both on network servers and on client devices. Our voice platforms power meeting transcription and summarization, Cortana digital assistant experience on desktop/laptop, smart speaker, home and mobile devices, Skype speech to speech translation, HoloLens and Xbox voice search and command/control, and Microsoft Cognitive APIs. Essential attributes and competencies include: Excellence in scientific thinking and execution, ability to drive efficient experiment definition and investigations, solid skill in developing state-of-the-art ML or SR algorithms, broad scope in solving ML or SR related engineering problems, and passion for new user-interface paradigms incorporating speech technologies.
