Do you want to work on the cutting-edge of simulation, deep learning and reinforcement learning research? Does building Artificial Intelligence for autonomous systems such as self-flying drones or self-driving cars excite you? If so, we have an amazing and rare opportunity for you! In the Autonomous Systems team at Microsoft, we have brought together world-class researchers and engineers to help advance the state of the art in AI. Our group has been a pioneer in recognizing the importance of the simulation in AI and perception and successfully shipped AirSim, an open source simulation platform, which has become widely popular in the worldwide community. We are currently looking for people with a passion for research and experience coding to help move forward our mission to push the boundaries of what is possible. As a Researcher on our team, you will be part of small group of researchers and engineers wearing many hats. On a regular basis, you'll encounter new technical problems that might

Collaborate with internal and external research teams, which lie at the intersection of ML, Robotics and Video Gaming, to further develop existing projects, brain storm new ideas, provide feedback, design and implement solutions Help maintain our large AirSim community on GitHub by adding new features, resolve issues, guide discussions and review contributions. Stay up to date with research trends, take self-initiatives in innovations and explorations, evaluate projects and approaches by other groups, advance the boundaries of what is possible!
Masters and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (completed or close-to-completion) 2+ years of experience in Robotics and/or Machine Learnin 2+ years of experience coding in python Experience developing in C or C++
