The Amazon Advertising Measurement team is looking for a research scientist to join our team to lead the development of statistical methods for ad measurement and optimization on social advertising for mass campaigns. This person in this role will be responsible for solving measurement and attribution problems to measure the effectiveness of advertising across channels and onsite . The successful candidate will be a daring hands-on self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, humble to seek feedback and learn from junior team members, bold to think big, has solid attention to detail and believes in challenging himself to raise the bar continuously. What you will own? The incumbent will be responsible for inventing new approaches to measure and optimize the global marketing spend on fixed and variable channels and on Amazon.com. · Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in statistics or engineering. · Advanced proficiency with statistical modeling, experimental design, and and machine learning algorithms · Deep expertise in using multivariate regression techniques. · Ability to research, identify, evaluate, and implement modeling solutions for complex business problems · Experience using R, MATLAB, and/or Python is required. · Hands-on experience using Big Data Technologies · Comprehensive and deep knowledge of a relevant field of research, such as machine learning. · 3+ years of experience presenting data-focused research to upper
