Microsoft has assembled a talented and diverse team to create the world's first scalable quantum system. Our full-stack approach involves exciting innovations at every level, from the physics of the quantum realm all the way up to global services. Our quantum program has opportunities to change the world of computing and help solve some of humankind's currently unsolvable problems. Microsoft Quantum is looking for someone to join the Architecture and Systems team and collaborate with a diverse group of software, firmware, and hardware engineers to bring together the components and expertise for a scalable quantum system. You will work with physicists, hardware designers, software developers, and researchers to help make quantum computing a reality.

This role is responsible for integrating control software, firmware, qubit optimization techniques, interfaces, and both quantum and classical systems at our lab in Redmond, Washington and in partnership with experts around the world. We work in a collaborative, agile, startup-style fashion, and you will be expected to help us stay on this path and lead by example. Prior experience with quantum computing or quantum physics is required; this is a great opportunity for you to share your knowledge and integrate across these areas.
