We are seeking an energetic, go-getter QA Engineer who will ensure customers get the highest quality skill experience on Alexa powered devices. We’re working hard, having fun, and making history! The right person for this role will test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QA Engineers use black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques; they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests and/or user-level test automation tools. Software QA Engineers work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. Software QA Engineers also work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science · 4+ years of QA experience · Experience with functional, performance and stress testing · Experience with continuous improvement processes, and defect prevention · Experience breaking down technical specifications and generating QA test plans · Experience analyzing logs to root cause a bug. · Experience in Java/Perl/Python based automation· Master's degree in Computer Science · Knowledge of UNIX environment and Shell scripting · Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
