The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Executive Briefing Center (EBC) Event team is expanding its program, and is looking for an experienced program manager to join the team as a Program Manager for Traveling Speakers. This person will be part of a team extending the EBC experience to customers participating in our field events around the globe to identify the benefits of moving to the cloud, help answer customer questions and concerns and accelerate their cloud adoption. As Program Manager, Traveling Speakers Program, this individual will build a program to systematically identify and manage Service, BD and Executive speakers in support of speaker pools and topics for AWS Summits, On the Road and other in-Geo events in 2019. This role will be the central point of contact and resource in the coordination of traveling speakers and executives in support of event-based customer briefings (both 1:1 and 1:many.) The role will require strong strategic planning and cross-functional coordination by partnering
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study · 3-5 years program management experience with global stakeholders · Experience developing a program from scratch · Development and implementation of large scale event based programs, including meetings, conferences, trade-show events · Tooling and process management for either large scale event booking and organization, or standardizing activity for delivery in multiple locations globally · Experience in event strategy development, and then turning the strategy into actionable recommendations, tasks and project
