The Alexa Finance team is seeking a Program Manager focused on building non-Excel based financial reporting for internal customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon at an early stage. You will have a voice in how the Alexa business is assessed and managed going forward. As a Program Manager, you will partner directly with business leaders and Finance stakeholders to deliver results. Job responsibilities include: · Driving clear definition of an agreed upon final deliverable plus intermittent milestones · Working with teams across Amazon to uncover dependencies and track action plans around them · Developing a robust project plan with stakeholder inputs and delivering regular updates to leadership · Working with Finance and BI engineers to solve data availability constraints The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, project management experience, and have a proven track record of delivering projects in a complex
· 5+ years of professional experience in project/program management, business analysis, operations, engineering, or finance position · BA/BS degree· Experience mining large data sets via SQL and with software such as Cognos · Project improvement certification, e.g. Lean Six Sigma · Experience operating successfully in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment · Proven ability to influence senior business leaders through verbal and written communication (incl. logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives) · Solid business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results
