Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) is an important, new offering where we take a more significant role in the deployment and management of the corporate desktop computing platforms, leveraging our Windows, Office 365, Cloud management , and Security offerings. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/modern-desktop/enterprise/microsoft-managed-desktop It's an exciting time for Microsoft to begin this initiative and an equally exciting time to join this team as we grow. We work as a start-up team within the engineering organization, leveraging and pushing key features into cloud technologies like Windows 10 (Windows as a Service, Windows Defender Suite, Autopilot, imageless deployment, Get Help, etc), Office 365 (Centennial versions, Teams, plug-ins) and Cloud management tools (Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Operations Management suite + Analytics). Since MMD manages the desktop experience for customers, defining the role of customer's IT admin is a key part of the MMD value proposition

As a Program Manager in this role, you will: Design the IT admin experience for MMD, including in the MMD Admin portal, from their interactions with the MMD engineering team to how they see the value MMD brings for their end users and to their executives Work closely with MMD developers and designers to deliver plans Partner with Microsoft teams like Windows Defender ATP, Desktop Analytics, Microsoft 365 Admin Center to design a cohesive admin experience across Microsoft properties Be a thought leader for the admin experience across the MMD team to identify admin value from our activities in Operations,
The perfect candidate for this role has a mix of skills in user experience, organization, and collaboration. These include: Create short, medium and long term plans on delivering value to the IT admin Provide structure and guidance to developer team on executing admin plans Partner closely to align plans across the MMD team and with other Microsoft teams Qualifications/Experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or related field 3+ years of program management experience and shipping products Excellent track record of cross-group collaboration Experience
