Amazon's Device and Services Design Group (DDG) is looking for a Principal UX Designer to drive visual design across Fire TV, Tablet and Echo experiences. As a leader within the DDG organization, you will manage design across multiple design studios in Seattle and Sunnyvale, CA. As a Design Leader in DDG, you will define and build future applications for products at Amazon. You will be responsible for developing best-in-class consumer experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.), in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment. You will work closely with engineering, product management, industrial design, marketing, and company leaders to successfully go from early stage product concepts to launch. You are a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into a fantastic customer-focused solution. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. We are looking for a design leader who can: · Create
· 8+ years of experience in application design for digital products · 4+ years successfully managing design teams · Superior planning skills to stay one step ahead of the work – you can model needs against high level roadmaps to make fact-based recommendations to management about staffing levels. · Demonstrated ability leading persuasive presentations to senior management · Proven experience with rapid, iterative design and development processes · Knowledge of all creative tools used by UX designers and when to use them appropriately · Track record of building-out successful design teams · Bachelor’s
