Are you interested in driving high scale, high velocity events like Prime Day and Cyber Monday? Do you enjoy the challenge and ownership that comes from managing complex, cross-functional and cross-organizational programs? The Prime and Events Teams are seeking an exceptional Principal Program Manager for a challenging high-visibility program. As a Principal TPM for Events, you will be driving functional and technical readiness aspects of high scale events across Amazon. You will review business plans with teams around the company and deep dive on the technical implications of those plans. This role will give you an opportunity to work with many different teams and learn a range of new systems, leveraging the deep collection of technologies throughout the company and extending them to allow us to boldly go where no retail system has gone before. This position requires regular communication with executive management on status, risks and product strategy. Excellent listening, writing skills
· Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. · 10+ years of experience delivering results on complex, technical products or services · Experience leading complex projects involving multiple global teams · Must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically · Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize · Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success
