The specific role for this position is to lead the expansion of our Blob (Object Store) feature set. Blobs are the underpinning of our Data Lake offering. We are working on expanding the data management capabilities of our offering to allow our customers to manage billions of objects which store exabytes of actual data in an easy, affordable and scalable way. The work required here is to offer customer intuitive solutions at cloud scale. In addition to above, we are working on significantly increasing the size of our objects such that customers don't have to shard their data over multiple objects
Basic Requirements: 10+ years of building scalable system software and/or Services BS, MS, PHD or equivalent experience Preferred Requirements: Strong distributed systems knowledge Experience in writing multithreaded code in C++ Hands on development experience including designing and writing code Proven ability to plan, schedule and deliver high quality software Passion for customers Good collaboration skills Prior people management experience is not required but preferred Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required
