The AWS Events Technology team is seeking a talented, self-directed Solutions Architect to drive the technical strategy for events technology used for re:Invent, re:Inforce, Global Summits, AWSome Days and other field events. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing team with high visibility both with customers and internal executives. This role will be responsible for creating and driving the technical strategy for AWS Events. You will partner with internal and external customers to define the business and performance requirements, develop a technology strategy and architecture, define testing strategy, influence and identify product requirements, collaborate with product managers and technical operations product managers, and tirelessly champion the needs of customers who participate in AWS events. · 10+ years of relevant work experience in design/implementation/consulting of large-scale, enterprise applications · Demonstrated experience developing enterprise application architectures to meet business requirements in complex environments · Experience with API design, micoservices management, session management, caching, and databases · Experience with cloud solutions, software development experience, and operational management practices and frameworks · Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional staff/teams including software developers, product managers, and quality assurance · Understanding
