The Principal Software Engineer will provide technical leadership in solution design including architecture, coding, and mentoring team members. The team will focus on instrumenting and measuring and improving end to end infrastructure deployment execution. The successful candidate will: Build deep domain expertise on global infrastructure deployment technology and processes Architect, design, and implement V1 cloud services in collaboration with teammates. Design services with a strong focus on high availability and scalability, robustness, and observability. Grow and mentor junior developers
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or IT technical discipline or in place of 3+ years of internship or 3+ years of industry engineering experience 7+ years of programming experience in Java OR C++ OR C OR object-oriented programming Preferred Qualifications: Strong design and coding skills with the ability to pick up new languages, tools and design patterns as needed Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in teams Customer focus: comfortable communicating with customers through blogs, twitter, etc. Seek out and respond
