Are you excited about Microsoft hardware products like HoloLens, Surface, Xbox and would like to make sure that we have assembled products of premium quality? Are you passionate about integration between software and hardware to light up customer experience? If so, Microsoft Manufacturing Test Engineering team would like to hear from you. Our team is responsible for engineering the production line for Microsoft branded hardware products. We work closely with cross groups to plan and manufacture products with premium quality. We collaborate with data partners to design, engineer and support telemetry systems in our global facilities. With company's strategy of mobile first and laser focus on quality, we are actively looking for an experienced manager with strong testing mentality and engineering methodology. The role will play a big part in ingesting engineering excellence in our end to end quality assurance process for catching manufacturing defects.
Successful candidate should have experience managing and building engineering team. S/he must have excellent technical strength and strong system level trouble shooting skill and be able to lead by example. This position will need to work closely with global team in delivering our manufacturing test systems to different parts of the world. Strong communication skill is a must.
• BS/ Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. • 5+ years' experience managing and building engineering team with a focus on quality. • 8+ years of engineering development and best practices. • Experience overseeing project from inception to product shipping and sustain engineering. • Strong debugging and technical problem solving skills, as well as a passion to solve hard, ambiguous problems. • Experienced in developing test plans/strategies and ability to collaborate cross team to define measurement for quality, assess risk and mitigation plan.
