The Amazon Web Services ("AWS") Identity and Access (IDAS) team is building and operating the identity, authentication, and authorization stack for the AWS cloud. In our quest we are pushing the technology boundaries in building a trusted and highly reliable architecture that provides the security controls for massively scalable and globally distributed systems that exist both in AWS as well as in our AWS customers services. IDAS services empower customers to confidently and securely execute their workflows by providing flexible controls which meet each customer’s individual security requirements. We are seeking an experienced security engineer to participate in the engineering designs and lead the security verification for the identity and access framework on which massively scalable web applications and services are built. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Minimum of 10 years’ experience in software development, system and network security Practical experience in designing security components for web services. Working understanding of cryptography, internet protocols, and operating system security Deep practical knowledge in at least one security domain, such as data protection, authentication protocols, or access controls. Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery for significant features of large-scale engineering systems Excellent written and verbal communication Experience
