Microsoft's Speech and Dialogue Research Group (SDRG) is looking for an extremely talented researcher to work on cutting edge research in one of the following areas: Speech Recognition, Speech Enhancement, Speaker Recognition/Verification/Diarization, Audio Visual Fusion, Dialogue, and related Natural Language Processing and Applied Machine/Deep Learning in all aspects of spoken language processing. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of broadly recognized research results at leading conferences and publications. In the case of industry candidates, you will also have demonstrated the ability to take research results and transfer them into commercial products.

The mission of our group is to make fundamental contributions to advancing the state-of-the-art in speech and language technology both within Microsoft and in the external research community. We conduct research by using public benchmarks, which allowed us to achieve a milestone in reaching human parity on the Switchboard conversational speech recognition task, as well as internal data for forward-looking topics such as audio-visual far-field meeting transcription.
