What would it take to help developers prototype something great over lunch, build out something serious in a couple of days, and deploy to production within a few weeks? As architect for the Azure developer experience, your job will be to iterate, learn from our customers, and make sure we build out the right product experience. We're looking for someone who has the breadth of context on what developers are trying to build with the cloud along with depth necessary to design an end to end developer platform across Azure. You should have deep context as a customer success engineer, a consultant, or at a major enterprise building cloud-native applications and services. You should know what it takes to make an application / service hit global scale. You can describe the pros and cons of configuration versus convention in a software framework. In this role, you'll work with customers and the field to shepherd the creation of a unified Azure developer platform with consistent APIs; where diagnostics, logging, security, identity, and error handling are ubiquitous and consistent. You'll work with the architect board, user research, and service teams to envision the developer experience through customer development, user studies, market research, and competitive analysis. You'll work across the development team, other PMs across Azure and the User Education team to facilitate bringing the product to market, ultimately improving the walk-up
Basic: 15+ years' experience as a Technical Program Manager in a developer focused technology or 15+ years' industry experience as an Architect Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline Preferred: Excellent written, verbal and communication skills Developer Consulting on Cloud Native technologies – Someone who has been deeply embedded in a variety of projects to bootstrap cloud-native services / apps or transform from on-prem to cloud-hosted.
