Principal Program Manager
The Principal Program Manager (PM) is a critical leadership role influencing the future workforce of Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is a new role to help us scale our rapidly growing business by incubating new talent channels for recruitment and driving strategic partnerships across the organization. You will lead strategy development in partnership with the business, HR leaders, and Talent Acquisition leaders to identify the most impactful programs to invest in to open up new pipelines of talent for AWS. You will serve as the global point of contact partnering closely with Amazon’s central Student Programs organization to shape strategy, manage annual planning and recruitment cycles, and advise key stakeholders on how best to optimize the student pipeline. You will also bring an innovative spirit and collaborative approach to identifying and incubating new programs, ranging from partnering with the AWS business to identifying new talent pools and pipelines. · Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline such as Business or Human Resources. · 10+ years of experience, experience should include a combination of program management, HR, recruiting and/or progressive business leadership.· Advanced degree (MBA, or other applicable advanced degree preferred). · Demonstrated experience using process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma) to drive meaningful change and efficiency gains. · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
