Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Principal Human Resources Specialist to lead the Global Performance Management function. The speed of growth and drive to consistently raise the bar creates a strong performance culture at AWS. To enable that culture, the HR team sets strategic priorities for performance management with senior business leaders, develops and deploys technology tools, and experiments with new concepts and approaches. The Principal, Performance Management role is both a strategic and hands on role. The work includes designing the strategy for global performance management, diagnosing business and talent needs, setting the requirements and implementation approach for new technologies, and driving HR functional excellence. We are seeking an experienced leader who can effectively interact with business leaders at all levels, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works effectively across multiple geographies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Bachelors Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent professional or military experience · 10+ years of experience in Human Resources leadership roles with broad knowledge and experience in talent and performance management. · Master's Degree or MBA in Human Resources Management or related field · An ability and desire to own the core HR performance management program, providing thought leadership, executing projects and designing/implementing related technologies, and delivering results. · Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing, and problem solving
