We are looking for a passionate, fearless and focused Principal Designer who can help to lead how we use AI and voice input to create experiences that our customers love. Artificial intelligence is changing everything about the ways we design and build products and experiences. Work with design and engineering teams across Microsoft to create experiences that deliver on our customer promises. Deeply understand and fiercely advocate for the experience throughout all stages of the customer journey. Rationalize and clarify ambiguous problems and design solutions that illustrate and illuminate variable outcomes.
10+ years of product design experience Experience working with AI concepts and design practices Experience with voice-driven product design or conversational interfaces Experience working with hardware/software interactions Insatiable curiosity Deep understanding of design fundamentals and creative process Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills Minimum B A/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field. Strong design portfolio of personal and team-based work.
