Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) business unit is responsible for customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide. CSCP partners with several teams across Microsoft to ensure critical capacity is deployed on-time to meet business priorities. As Microsoft scales to become a global leader in cloud deployments and services, the scope of decommissioning and asset disposition requires rethinking and transformation via innovative business processes and a high degree of standardization across the entire asset value chain. The Principal Data Scientist will play a key role in this transformation: Driving innovation, design and implementation of processes and systems for asset disposition Engaging stakeholders across our global supply chain Coordinating systems development with engineering teams Ensuring adherence to internal development

Drive program management to deliver cloud infrastructure asset disposition process design and deployment predictably based on business needs Partner with the software engineering teams to design and coordinate disposition automation opportunities that will further our ability to execute to standardized processes at scale Partner with datacenter and partner organizations to introduce new processes, training and resource capabilities, and ensure that measurement and audit processes are in place to drive a high standard of process performance Identify critical risks to deployment of standardized processes,
Qualifications BS or equivalent degree qualification in Engineering or Quantitative fields In lieu of a degree, 15+ years combined experience: Program Management, Process Engineering, Data science, technical/engineering role(s) 10+ years of experience leading and managing systems development and process analytics Demonstrable experience in collaborating across global operations, technical engineering teams and senior leadership.
