Microsoft Economics is a team of technical and impact driven research economists and data scientists that support various groups across Microsoft. It is led by Microsoft's CVP, Chief Economist (Michael Schwarz) and is part of the AI and R organization. All members work across the company on high-impact projects related, but not limited to: pricing, search auctions, causal inference, machine learning prediction and market design. We are seeking a data science leader to manage a team, provide strategic, technical and financial insights, and collaborate partners across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance and broader AI and R.
Business Analysis and Identifying Opportunities: Identify opportunities and conducts business analyses that influence the company-wide product and research agenda. Influence and Impact: Drive new solutions leveraging group's strengths in company-wide initiatives to create revolutionary features or products and critical technical capabilities to support the product strategy. Anticipating Market and Technology Changes: Anticipate revolutionary market and technology changes and trends, envisions how these advances will bring about new products and directions in research, and translates this insight
