Amazon.com is seeking a highly intelligent, high-judgment, self-motivated and well-connected public relations professional to join our global communications team in Seattle, Wash. This individual will help lead high visibility public relations initiatives for Amazon Prime and Amazon Retail both in the US and around the world including supporting Prime Day in 17 countries, and supporting other peak Retail events (e.g. Holiday) around the world. The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise in large scale events, working across multiple countries, media relations, leadership experience, as well as an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach. He/she should be a strategic thinker and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up culture. Key Responsibilities: · Act as a PR business partner to Amazon Prime and Amazon Retail teams · Drive proactive coverage for Prime Day and other global Prime initiatives · Manage reactive media inquiries when necessary · Support strategic launches
· Minimum of 5-7 years of public relations experience · Bachelor’s degree required · Expertise in consumer PR initiatives · Ability to write in business-focused, grammatically correct format with no errors · Have previously worked across geographies and have a strong desire to continue doing so · Social media experience · Have strong functionality in basis Office software (Outlook, Excel, etc.) · High business acuteness: Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes · Work hard and smart · Be a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done · Be creative, and
