Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a creative, self-motivated, high-judgment, well-connected and experienced public relations professional to drive communications programs for its growing services portfolio. The right candidate possesses extensive media relations experience, is an expert at translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories, has experience with reputational management, and can exercise high-judgment while acting quickly. This role is focused on AWS’s global infrastructure, sustainability work and commitments, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will focus on telling stories about what makes our physical infrastructure, our global availability, and innovative hardware and software platforms unique, and what sets AWS apart from other cloud providers, while also working with an insider’s knowledge on what new infrastructure and region launches are on the horizon. You will also be responsible for leading AWS sustainability and community engagement
· Bachelor’s degree · 7 - 10 years of public relations experience · Business-to-business technology PR experience required · Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts · Experience delivering press tours, events and product reviews programs · Experience with business critical communications · An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously · A track record of successfully representing high-profile global infrastructure, sustainability work and commitments, and community engagement experience desirable · Outstanding attention
