The Power BI business planner will be responsible for the monetization strategy for the Power BI product portfolio, defining the business models and strategies that will help grow this critical business to reach its maximum commercial potential. You will lead a virtual team of peers including representatives from R and D, marketing, and finance with accountability for developing and delivering the Power BI monetization and pricing strategy. Specific projects could include developing innovative business models for new Power BI capabilities, evolving the existing Power BI business model and monetization strategy, and finding new business growth opportunities for Power BI. Core responsibilities for this role include: • Lead and evolve the Power BI monetization and pricing strategy • Develop new business models to capture value of new Power BI features and innovation • Provide thought leadership in identifying emerging trends and potential areas of growth for the Power BI business • Partner across Microsoft's cloud offerings including Office 365, Azure and Dynamics 365 on opportunities to bundle and cross-sell services with Power BI • Land business models and monetization strategy with Microsoft field and partners
• 5-7 years in product management / strategy / consulting / start up experience in technology sector • A passion for technology and understanding of the data and analytics space • Experience working with BI and other data and analytics tools and services • Excellent problem identification, structuring and resolution • Excellent communication and presentation skills; with ability to influence at the Corporate Vice President (CVP) level • Excellent business analysis and strategic thinking skills • Experience leading and driving decision making with diverse teams of peers • Experience designing, developing
