The Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) group is an exciting and fast evolving engineering group within Microsoft. CSCP's mission is to optimize and deliver industry leading cloud infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services used by our Customers around the world. The organization is responsible for strategy and delivery of the foundational platform for all Microsoft Online Services including demand and capacity forecasting, supply chain, data centers, networking, bandwidth, operations, and incident management. CSCP supports over 200 online businesses including Bing, O365, OneDrive, Xbox and Windows Azure branded services. The Cloud Sourcing and Supply Chain organization within CSSC manages the hardware and services sourcing for all of Microsoft's current and future on-line services. Partner with Engineering and Operations on the network hardware sourcing strategy for 12+ month time horizon Analyze product life cycle costs from NPI through EOL and propose strategies to reduce TCO Execute effective negotiation strategies and generate cost savings, improve value, and reduce risk for Microsoft Interface with assigned suppliers and maintain "preferred customer" standing Manage supplier performance in terms of cost, lead-time and continuity of supply Influence qualification pipeline by identifying projects with the highest ROI Identify Delivery and Support SLAs required by business
Skills and qualifications: Recognized inside and outside of Microsoft as a leading expert in Network gear commodities Experience facilitating the Strategic Sourcing process for hardware Ability to effectively and communicate and collaborate across internal organizations to drive the right decisions for Microsoft Experience writing RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, SOWs to articulate business requirements, evaluation criteria and operational objectives. Ability to use data to drive negotiation strategy, target negotiation results, and successfully execute on high dollar value engagements Understanding of key cost
