In this leadership role; you will own both the building of mechanisms and approach, and the national strategy to benefit the regional, and local teams’ engagement with the Military Community. Serving as thought leader and subject matter expert, this leader will be an independent contributor, working closely with business and HR leaders as well as with our corporate teams to identify opportunities and drive impact. The Military Program Leader is part of a central Community Engagement Team, and will act as a channel for both bringing central practices and Amazon-wide goals to the Field-based organization

The basic qualifications, we require: · 5+ years of experience leading a community engagement program in the public or private sector · 5+ years of experience in operations, program management, consulting or high volume workforce management · Experience building strategic partnerships with measurable results · Cross-functional project management experience · National travel up to 50% of the time · Proven public speaking and presentation skills · Proven ability to continuously learn and adapt when faced with changing circumstances · Ability to identify and resolve issues independently in a rapidly
