Amazon is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to join an exciting new project team working to build a completely new best in class consumer product. As a founding member of the team, you will work alongside with product management, research, design, and engineering (EE/ME) to define and build this new product. This position requires deep customer focus, the ability to dive deep and invent, and the ability to make hard decisions fast. The Mechanical Engineer II will be responsible for the system architectures and module designs of a new product. You will be the owner of all aspects of ME product design. You should have experience designing and analyzing complex consumer devices
· BS Mechanical Engineering (or similar field) · 5+ years of product development experience with emphasis on high or medium volume consumer products · 2+ years experience contributing to DFM, Detailing and Tooling processes · 2+ years experience using 3D models, analysis and simulation to drive design trade offs · Design Experience with at least one modern 3D modeling/CAD system· Experience in medium to high volume manufacturing and working with offshore manufacturers · Component qualification and validation · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role · Meets/exceeds
