The Role: As a Materials and Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for four main areas of focus: first, working with design engineers to measure and characterize the properties of cutting-edge materials. Second, to rapidly determine the root cause of issues that we see in development, test and in the field. Third, to assist in the formal qualification of designs and materials. And fourth, you will advise on strategies to mitigate issues and make a direct impact to cutting-edge designs. To enable this, you will be an expert in the following: · A multitude of failure analysis techniques. · A variety

· Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or 7+ years in materials science / failure analysis · 3+ years of hands-on experience with failure analysis techniques. Examples include SEM/EDS, FTIR, optical microscopy, XRF, 3D surface profiling, 2-D and 3-D X-ray (uCT), thermal-mechanical analysis, cross-sectioning, dye and pry, basic electrical fault isolation, reliability testing, etc. · Experience in writing final failure analysis reports and presentations · Knowledge in materials science and engineering, surface science, and device physics· Postgraduate degree in material science, chemistry, or
