The AWS (Amazon Web Services) Marketing Operations organization is responsible for enabling the Marketing team to deliver its mission by driving the annual planning process and managing/controlling execution of the marketing resources (budget and headcount). Marketing Ops interfaces with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, Tax, Legal, Alliances, Recruiting and the entire Marketing Team, supporting directly the Marketing Leadership. We are seeking a highly analytical individual to join the AWS Marketing Ops team to execute the budget management routine for AWS Marketing. The person in this role will be responsible for all aspects of the execution of the marketing budget process, including: management of purchase orders (POs), tracking marketing expenses, performing monthly accruals, recording invoices, reconciliations, and resolving escalation with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance. · Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business or related field · 2+ years of relevant Finance or Marketing Operations (budget management) experience · Advanced excel (dealing with multiple datasets to look for insights · Strong communication skills · Self-Motivation and ability to build new processes and innovate with minimum guidance · Experience with SQL is not required for the job, but a strong plus (to go beyond) · Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills · Organization and Project Management skills Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative
